Worldwide Premiere “Love me or leave me”

On November 7, 2004 the worldwide premiere of the documentary “Love me or leave me” took place in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. In conjunction with the premiere of the documentary, the book “Jan Montyn. Het grafisch werk” [SEE PUBLISHERS] (in English “Jan Montyn. The graphical works”) was launched. For visitors, a special edition of the book was available with a DVD of the documentary and etchings that were especially made by Jan Montyn for the book. Images of the etchings, “Mekong Serie I” are incorporated the "Synopsis" partthis page.

In a optimally paced manner, the documentary ”Love me or leave me” shows the life of Jan Montyn as a HUMAN, as a WAR VETERAN and as an ARTIST

Through current sceneries in Thailand , Vietnam , Cambodia and Laos and black-and-white war documentary clips the viewer walks hand in hand with Jan Montyn while listening to Jan Montyn's explanations and enjoying heaven and hell. The art process and art works are blended in magnificently, providing any viewer with the clarification why he or she loves Jan Montyn's art works or should love them.

The documentary will be shown in cinemas throughout The Netherlands in January, 2005.
